goingKnowhere is for the explorer in all of us. Travel impacts us in a variety of ways but the one constant is that no matter where we are from, we are more alike than different. Through imagery and words, the aim is to understand our world from an authentic, sometimes funny, possibly cheeky, often gritty, always beautiful perspective.
We live in a time where the story of us really does matter. Storytelling is in our DNA. We are programmed to think and speak in stories. Since early humans first shared images on cave walls, we have been preserving who we are through the art of storytelling. How we work and play, the food that feeds our bodies and our souls, the words that express us, the music that moves us, the moments that connect us.
Only time will tell the whole story and while none of us will be around long enough to see how the story ends, we can to our part to share our stories, for ourselves and for others. That's the best part of the journey, right? The stories.
A picture tells
A thousand words
We can't physically go everywhere but that shouldn't stop us from seeing the world. The images here are what I've seen, not just with my eyes, but with every fibre of my being and I strive to present them in a way that I hope makes you feel like you were there too.
I've always enjoyed taking photos but recently, it really has become an integral part of my storytelling.
There's always a little voice that says, "take the shot."
Ansel Adams once said, "When words become unclear,
I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence."
